Buddha Board – Mud Kitchen
Cassie is just obsessed with arts and crafts. Painting, drawing, sticking, glueing, folding, making, creating… she is happy to set herself up on our kitchen table (out of reach of Vivi of course) and entertain herself for hours. Given that she has just dropped her day nap, this has been the perfect way to keep her quiet and occupied while her younger sister sleeps. When I came across the Buddha Board from Mud Kitchen, I knew it would be perfect.
The Buddha Board is inspired by the Zen idea of living in the moment – but the part I love most, is that there is no mess! You simply fill up the bottom tray with water, balance the board on top and get painting. I don’t have to worry about art smocks, messy clothes or paint getting on our kitchen table, and Cassie loves using the brush for her painting skills.
The first time Cassie used it, she painted the whole board and thought that was so much fun, and was even keen to sit there and watch the board dry. The water slowly evaporates, and the artwork disappears, leaving a clean slate ready to go again. Did I mention hours of fun?
This magic device will last for years and can be used again and again and again.
