Oh Flossy – Children’s Makeup

Reuben has always liked getting an arm painting at our local playgroup. For along time he just wanted a digger painted on his arm, but in the last year he has branched out and gets all manor of creatures, machines and fun illustrations painted on his arm. He also really likes having his nails painted at the moment, to the point where now he will just go and pick out nail polish from my stash and ask me to do them regardless of whether I am painting mine. So when I came across Oh Flossy and their gorgeous and fun range of kid friendly makeup I thought it would be right up his alley. It became part of his Christmas present – he received the Goodie Bundle, and a set of cruelty free makeup brushes.

The goodie bundle contains 6 eyeshadows in gorgeous colours, 3 ‘lipsticks’ and some small eyeshadow brushes all beautifully presented in a magnetic closing box. Reuben was particularly taken with the Sparkle Lipstick – featuring biodegradable earth safe glitter, and a base of apricot kernel oil it is colourless with a slight berry taste. He actually wouldn’t stop putting it on! I had to try it myself to see what he was so taken with and it was incredibly moisturising and a great feel. He also loved the many eye shadow colours, and while he did like it on as eyeshadow, I kept finding him adding drops of water and painting his arms as rainbows or into a tiger with colourful stripes.

I was so pleasantly surprised that this kit really sparked his imagination. He isn’t particularly into art and colouring in so this was a great outlet for him to do small amounts of fun colouring on himself, me and his baby brother! I think we may have to branch out and get the new glitter set next!
