Swingz n Thingz – Kids Swing

Is there anything better than flying off on the swing? It’s something I still love doing today. The freedom as you push your legs in the air, forcing yourself higher and higher until your stomach churns on each drop and you stop – letting the swing slow down on its own. The first time I got Cassie on a kids swing was an exciting moment for me. I hoped she would love it just as much as I did – and she did. The photos are the best. The happiness in her eyes and the out-of-control excitement that came with each push. She was elated.

Unfortunately, this love affair with the swing hasn’t lasted. These days, I am lucky to get Cassie to last two minutes on the swing before asking to jump off again. When we got this gorgeous canvas swing from Swingz n Thingz, I was only too keen to try it out. It is made from fadeproof fabric and lasts up till the age of eight, so we will be getting a lot of use out of it. We decided to set it up at Grandma and Grandpa’s house where they had the space for it, and it was the right decision.

With a comfy cushion insert, I am only jealous I can’t pop in there for a swing myself. Cassie screams for the swing each time we go over, and so do her cousins (yes, there have been fights over it). It goes sideways, it goes around, it goes high. It’s one crazy swing for a lot of crazy kids – and it’s so much fun. We will definitely be getting a lot of use out of this one over the next few years. I just wonder how Cassie feels about sharing.
