Play Mats – Little Wiwa

I honestly can’t tell you how much we love play mats in our home. We need and use them for everything. Granted, we have plenty of floorboards and tiles throughout our home, so it’s important the girls have somewhere soft to land their knees when playing. With our baby boy now on the way, I have learned a few things in my years of parenting – and I wanted to skip the whole soft cotton play mat stage and find one that he could use from birth, could be wiped down easily from the inevitable upchucks and is nice and comfy. That’s when I came across Little Wiwa.

Each mat is waterproof, reversible, features thick padding and is perfect and safe to use from newborn age. Even better they come in two sizes:
Generös: 200cm (L) x 140cm (W) x 15mm thick (4.2kg)
Små: 100cm (L) x 140cm (W) x 15mm thick (2.1kg)
Cirkulär: 120cm diameter x 15mm thick (2.4kg)
The smaller one was exactly what I wanted for the new bub.

Turns out, the girls love it just as much too. While we are waiting for their brother to arrive, they have taken control of the play mat. And the best part according to Cassie – she is big enough to move it around where she wants. It has been a comfy landing spot at the bottom of her slide, it has moved over as a soft place to sit while she plays with her dolls house, and it also comes downstairs for playing in the playroom as well.

In fact, I am not even sure if I will be allowed to take it back once her brother arrives! The plan is to place a play gym bar with toys over it so he can happily play underneath.

I think we will be getting years of use out of this mat, and once the kids are done with it, I’ll be stealing it for exercise in the home!
